FAQ

We understand that there are an endless array of options when it comes to choosing the best security camera system for your home or business. As your security partner, our goal is to help you find the best solution for your unique needs. Below you will find some of the most common questions that we get from prospective customers. If you have unaswered questions or would like to learn more then please contact us so we can help you find what you’re looking for.

Will I be able to see my cameras on my phone, tablet, etc.?

Yes, the vast majority of our system designs include the ability to monitor your cameras remotely via your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. Remote access training is included upon final install.

Can my cameras see in the dark?

Yes, the vast majority of the cameras we use include night vision. We’ll discuss the specifics of the cameras to be installed to ensure they fit your needs prior to making a recommendation.

What does CCTV mean?

CCTV (closed-circuit television) is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security purposes.

CCTV relies on strategic placement of cameras, and observation of the camera’s input on monitors installed at a predetermined location. Because the cameras communicate with monitors and/or video recorders across private coaxial cable runs or wireless communication links, they gain the designation “closed-circuit” to indicate that access to their content is limited by design only to those able to see it.

How many security cameras do I need?

The answer depends upon what you’d like to see and what prompted you to install cameras to protect your property. The size and shape of the areas to be viewed also needs to be taken into account. Each client is unique, which is why we’ll have an in-depth conversation with you prior to making a recommendation in order to ensure your needs and expectations are met.
